FAQ’S & Helpful Tips about Products & Usage!
What is the right vibrator for me? Some people choose a vibrator by
simply buying the model that is the most popular. Some woman select the most, or
the least, expensive model. Other women have been known to buy the first
vibrator that they see, or maybe the one they are most familiar with. Although
each of these methods can help you successfully choose a great vibrator, knowing
all of your options, is the best path to
satisfaction. Battery vibrators are great for a
no-commitment thrill and are quite inexpensive. If the vibration, material or
shape is not quite right you can always try another kind. They come in a wide
variety of sizes and shapes. This variety, allow for a bit of experimentation on
your part as they can provide for both external and internal penetration on the
clitoris or shaft of the penis, for example. They don't require electricity, and
are usually compact and discreet enough to take anywhere. What are some of the
pit falls of battery operated vibes? They tend to have a fairly short lifespan,
are not terribly well-made. Their vibrations are often not as strong as the
vibrations of the electric models. Electric vibrators are more
expensive, and also have a much longer lifespan. Many customers report that
their electric vibes have outlasted their jobs and relationships! The vibrations
are also more intense, and more reliable than their battery counterparts. Wand
vibrators, such as the Hitachi Magic Wand, provide very strong, but more
diffuse, vibrations, while coil-operated vibrators provide more focused
stimulation. The electric vibes are great for providing external stimulation,
and several models even have attachments which will adapt the vibrator for
penetration. If you live outside the U.S., we have adapters and converters
available to make your vibrator hum in any country. Can I get addicted to vibrator use? There's no physiological basis
for an addiction to any form of sexual stimulation. It is often true however;
that many of us become habituated to whatever stimulation reliably produces
orgasms. Some of us prefer sex in a specific position, with a specific fantasy,
or sex with a specific partner. It is also possible to become habituated to sex
with a vibrator. There's nothing wrong with that--what's wrong are the people or
the voices inside our head saying we "should" have orgasms a certain way;
therefore we "should" wean ourselves from our vibrators. If you enjoy your
vibrator...”don't stop”... keep on buzzing! What is the difference between a dildo and a vibrator? Dildos and vibrators are very
often confused. In most stores and catalogs, we call toys that vibrate
"vibrators" and non-vibrating toys used for insertion "dildos." Dildos are
especially designed for either vaginal or anal insertion. They do not vibrate,
in fact, they don't move at all unless you move them. What they do is to simply
fill the vagina or rectum. Many people find the sensation of fullness to be
highly pleasurable. Dildos come in many sizes, shapes, colors and materials.
Some bear a resemblance in size and texture to an actual penis, while others are
not as representational. The Care of Toys DO'S! Vibrators can easily be
cleaned with a damp cloth. Plastic anal toys may be sterilized using equal parts
of bleach and warm water. Remove batteries from your vibrator when they are not
in use. Batteries can leak and ruin your toy! If there is a piece of paper
inside your battery compartment showing you which way to insert the batteries,
LEAVE THE PAPER INSIDE THE VIBE... it is very often necessary for
grounding. Do NOT submerge your battery
or electric vibrator in water! NEVER DON'TS! Do NOT use a toy cleaner
containing nonoxynol-9 unless you know that you are not allergic to this
spermicide! Do NOT leave the batteries inside a vibrator for extended time
periods. Batteries can leak and ruin your vibe. Do NOT pull or tug on the wires
coming out of a vibrator or speed controller. Do NOT use a silicone lubricant on
a toy also made of silicone, because it will damage your toy. For your
information, you won't find silicone lubricants on this web site because they
have NOT been approved in the United States by the FDA as being safe for
internal use. Why Only Water-Based Lubes? All lotions, potions and
lubricants that are to be used inside the vagina or with latex products should
all be water-based. Oil or petroleum based products should NOT be used for two
good reasons: Oil/petroleum destroys latex (condoms, diaphragms, etc).
Oil/petroleum causes yeast infections and other bacterial problems in the
vagina. WHAT IS NONOXYNOL-9? Nonoxynol-9 is a common
spermicide. It is often used to lubricate condoms and is in spermicidal creams
and jellies. Nonoxynol-9 is said (but by no means proven) to kill HIV if it is
used in sufficient quantities. You will find Nonoxynol-9 in some of the products
that we sell (these are clearly indicated). Some people are sensitive to
Nonoxynol-9. If at any time you develop any irritation, stop using the product.
Do NOT rely on lubricants containing Nonoxynol-9 to prevent either pregnancy or
HIV! REGARDING ANAL SEX: PID ALERT!!!! Nothing that goes into the anal area
should ever be inserted into the vaginal area until it has first been thoroughly
washed. The reason for this is simple. The normal and healthy bacteria that is
present in the anal area is not compatible with the normal and healthy bacteria
in the vagina. Mixing the two can cause PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) which
can be quite nasty and uncomfortable. WHY WE DO NOT SELL THE NEW SILICONE LUBRICANTS: You may have heard of the all new
silicone lubricating gels that have recently hit the market in the United
States. Eros is one, Wet Platinum is another and there are a number of other
brands coming out. WARNING! These lubricants are not yet FDA approved. The
laboratory may be FDA approved but the product is not. These lubricants may be
safe when used on external skin but to date, there is no evidence as to their
safety for internal use. If you decide to try these products, do NOT use them
with silicone dongs or other silicone items. They are very difficult to remove
from these items and will ruin the finish on the silicone
toy! The G Spot! While much has been written on this mysterious area of a woman's anatomy, (including entire books on the subject) some basic information can easily be answered. The G spot is an area of spongy tissue approximately an inch and a half inside and toward the front (stomach) of a women's vagina. When sexually stimulated, the tissue swells causing a variety of reactions/sensations in women. Some women can have orgasms from g-spot stimulation alone. Other woman, require direct clitoral stimulation as well. Some women actually ejaculate a fluid during a g-spot orgasm. Many women report that g-spot stimulation produces a sensation similar to the desire to urinate. As a result, they become afraid to continue the stimulation. It is often helpful to empty the bladder beforehand to remove fears of making a mess! There are a number of toys in our catalog designed to produce intense g-spot sensations. We also recommend the Sex Positions book for its extremely informative chapter on finding and enjoying the g-spot.
